I believe she (Nurse Carey Lee) is very dedicated to helping those of us who were struggling to get licensed.
Nurse Carey Lee was super helpful with recommendations and answering all questions ! I would definitely recommend her.
Because of her (Nurse Carey Lee & Dr. Mary Clifton), my life has changed. I am able to use medical cannabis and it has helped me with many things such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, nightmares, binge eating, ect. I definitely recommend reaching out to her if you have any questions! My life is forever changed and I am so grateful for her help.

On March 8th, Jack and I had the pleasure of meeting with Sherri and Sandy at Irie Bliss Wellness. Previous to this interview, Jack and I first met Sherri when we had to interview her about herself and everything about what she does. Sherri first explained to us what cannabis was and all of the parts to it and properly educated us all about the endocannabinoid system. She described how every system within the body develops their own endocannabinoids which help regulate the system to keep homeostasis. In school, we never learned about cannabinoids or an entire body system which envelopes every other system in the body. Sherri taught us this “umbrella effect”, which means that at the top of the umbrella there is the endocannabinoid system and each rung of the umbrella are all the other body systems. We only learned about Cannabis in school for a very brief amount of time but it only saw the drug as impairing. However, with what I’ve learned from Sherri is that Cannabis is so much more than getting high.
What really stood out to me during this whole experience is how great CBD really is and all of the positive effects it has on people. A person can come in to purchase CBD for a number of reasons which include: stress, anxiety, depression and even pain. Jack and I’s Capstone was directly focused on CBD and its pain relieving effects. We found trouble at first, researching because marijuana has been so taboo to the public eye that there are not many case or clinical studies. However, now with the legalization of marijuana, more tests will be conducted and more results will be found. At the end of this whole experience, Jack and I are walking out into the real world with the proper education on CBD and all of its benefits and I for one, have a completely different mindset on CBD and Cannabis.

Previous to my interviews with Sherri and Sandy, I had a very wrong and distorted view surrounding the use of cannabis, either medically or recreationally. For about as long as I can remember, I have been subjected to popular culture portraying the plant as a mind-altering drug which can be used as a gateway to more dangerous substances. Not to mention, the nationwide illegalization of cannabis has done nothing more than delay research about the plant’s medical uses as well as cloak it in a damaging, incriminating stigma. Many states are just now taking the proper steps to legalize the plant, finally allowing for groundbreaking research on the potential benefits of cannabis and CBD. I learned that cannabis and especially CBD aren’t something we should be afraid of, but rather it could be the missing link to a healthy lifestyle. Sandy gave us a deeper look into some of the inner-workings of the CBD industry at Irie Bliss. I believe it is important to know where your product comes from, as most pharmaceutical companies utilize much more industrialized and commercialized methods to mass produce products. I think that Irie Bliss and The Green Nurse Group offer a unique combination of quality products from trusted vendors that can be tweaked to cater specifically to a patient’s treatment needs. This service is virtually unseen, certainly in an untapped market as new as cannabis with the expectations of big pharma’s production rates.
By far the most mind blowing information that I learned from Sherri was the existence of the endocannabinoid system in the human body. Never before in my life had I heard that there was a regulatory system in our body responsible for the upkeep of every single organ. The body actually makes its own THC-like chemical component to match endocannabinoid receptors, however, it can often be beneficial to microdose different forms of THC or CBD in order to give this system a “jump start” if one’s body doesn’t make enough itself. If used in collaboration with a healthy diet and proper physical activity, for example, CBD or cannabis can function to maintain homeostasis within one’s organ systems. CBD and Cannabis should only be used to give an occasional boost to your endocannabinoid system, as excessive activation of receptors can lead to decreased production of the body’s natural THC-like substance. This means that your body won’t upkeep its endocannabinoid system by itself, having to rely on outside sources of the CBD or THC. I learned that CBD has a place in medicine because it could be a potential substitute for many pharmaceuticals with various side effects, regulating the body’s organs with little-to-no risks. It is especially important to emphasize how little information that I brought into our discussion that turned out to be accurate, because many sources of information, particularly school, fail to teach about the benefits of the plant instead of only focusing on the negatives. I think The Green Nurse Group could impact public perception of cannabis and CBD greatly by integrating themselves into health classes taught at school or offering a specific course on the subject. If the public was better informed about the many uses of cannabis, the general public could reap the benefits of a plant that has been around since the beginning of mankind.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and being interviewed for your podcast. It was an honor and privilege to get a chance to share some nitty-gritty details on DIY psychedelics, cannabinoid medicine, the cracked systems of care and TSC talks. Your interview style was engaging, supportive and just plain awesome. Looking forward to future collaboration and thanks again for the wonderful opportunity to discuss “living our best lives”

I have referred many friends and patients to Sherri for help with understanding how to use medical marijuana consciously for a variety of symptoms including my sister with great results. She is a gift to everyone who is trying to sort through the confusing and overwhelming choices green medicine has to offer.

On February 29, 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After a grueling series of chemotherapy and radiation, I was supposed to have less than one year of life and was placed on hospice care. My oncologist suggested that I try the use of medical cannabis to help my symptoms. Nobody expected that I would survive this cancer. I was connected with the GreenNurse Group and Sherri Tutkus came to my home and we discussed the benefits and the use of CBD and THC.
I started learning and she guided me to use the plant as well as giving me instructions on other things that I could do to help make it work better. I have to thank her and her organization for giving me my life back. I know that my complete disappearance of the cancer is a miracle, but I can certainly thank Sherri and her great work to help me with this process which helped me beat the odds. I continue to be in contact with her and I find a lot of help every time I call for some concern. Thank you again for your help and your constant support.
I am 45-year-old male who has struggled with anxiety throughout my life. My anxiety struggles come and go. Last year, I was involved in a car accident that created issues with my body. I started to experience cold clammy hands and feet. I started to see a psychiatrist who prescribed anti-anxiety medicine, but I did not like the side effects. Particularly, having foggy episodes in the morning. Recreational use of cannabis became legal in my state last year. I looked into self-medicating with the recreational market to assist with my condition. I was not feeling better. I came across the GreenNurse Group in my search for more information to help me figure out if cannabis was right for me.
I worked with the GreenNurses and Sherri was the nurse that helped me. I had two consultations that included education and my medical card. She created a care plan that included other information besides cannabis to help me. I was impressed with the plan that Sherri created for me which also included nutrition and exercise education, referral to therapists and local organizations to compliment a treatment plan. I believe this was the best decision I have made about my health. I was able to come off the anxiety medicine as the CBD provide relaxation and regulates my mood during the day and I no longer get clammy hands and feet. And THC is introduced in the evening for sleep.
I am slowly coming off sleeping pills, a habit developed over the past several years. I firmly believe that as I age, working with Sherri and the GreenNurse group has in effect extended my quality of life by 100%.
